Your Vision
With A Beginner's Mindset
Even after 12 years as a spiritual solopreneur, I'm nervous about my October 2nd launch. Perfectionism whispers, "You need the perfect strategy!" But here's the truth: perfectionism is exhausting and counterproductive.
This week, let's embrace the beginner's mindset together. We can do this!
For the 51st Time
Overcoming the Fear of Starting
Whether it's your first launch or your fiftieth, fear can still creep in. I've even talked myself out of launching before - but what good does that do for Noa and I, my business, or the people I serve?
Launching Angelus Advanced puts butterflies in my stomach. "No one wants this," my doubt says. But these aren't facts - they're just fear in disguise.
It's not about waiting for that perfect moment or for the stars to align (although I'll admit, when annual planning, I do consult with what's happening astrologically before setting launch dates!). It's about taking aligned action, even when you are terrified.
So, I'm challenging myself (and you) this week: let's do it scared. Let's embrace the butterflies and use that energy to propel us forward.
Even When You're Doubting
Practical Steps to Overcome Launch Fears
- Instead of fixating on filling Angelus Advanced or hitting a specific revenue goal, I'm concentrating on daily, consistent efforts. I'm reaching out to three potential clients each day and showing up on social media every day for the next 30 days.
- I'm starting with small wins to build momentum. Instead of aiming for a "perfect" launch, I'm focusing on the pre-launch phase. I'm outlining three areas of content this week to share the value of Angelus Advanced in two email sequences.
- I'm identifying aspects of this launch that excite me and leaning into those. For me, it's connecting one-on-one with potential participants and sharing the transformations I've witnessed in past students.
- I'm trying new approaches with this launch. Maybe I'll test different email subject lines or play with social media posting times. There are no hard rules - just experimenting.
- I'm revisiting my "testimony bank" to remind myself of the impact Angelus has already had. I'm updating my bio to reflect my growth and current focus with Angelus Advanced.
Do you notice how my beginner's mindset doesn't mean doubting my worth or expertise? It's about openness, not self-doubt.
Here are some affirmations we use inside my Creative Residency. Feel free to borrow them, adapt them, make them your own:
"I am learning and growing with each launch experience."
"I trust my expertise and the value of Angelus Advanced (insert your program name)."
"I have the support and strategies I need to launch confidently."
"My ideal clients are eager to work with me in Angelus Advanced."
Take it one step further and have these posted at your desk this week so that you can subconsciously set yourself up for success!
What I'm excited about:
A friend/client just launched her album, Flesh and Soul, and I've been listening while doing some design work. It's a beautiful reminder of the magic we create when we push past our fears and put our work out into the world!
What I'm wearing:
One of my favorite childhood memories would be back-to-school shopping with my mom and sister. Noa and I are keeping this tradition alive. Yesterday's haul: Matching mom and daughter Mary Janes, gold bracelet, and balloon jeans.
What I'm celebrating:
There's something incredibly empowering about treating yourself (and your baby girl) to something special because your business is thriving. It's not just about the money; it's about the freedom and joy that come from building a successful, aligned business.
So when launch fears creep in, remember: your work creates a life filled with memories that matter. Your launches, your offers - they're all stepping stones to your most fulfilled life, whether that's matching shoes with your daughter or whatever your soul wants to dream up.
This Week's Launch Challenge
Start each day with this powerful visualization:
- Sit at your desk and close your eyes.
- Imagine your successful launch (mine's Angelus Advanced).
- See yourself connecting with excited participants.
- Feel the impact of sharing your knowledge.
But don't stop there! Vision without action is just a daydream.
Your daily mission: Take ONE concrete step aligned with your vision. For example:
- Reach out to a potential participant
- Create a piece of engaging content
- Record a quick video sharing your excitement
My prayer for you: You're a spiritual, creative being. You radiate positive energy and greet each day with bright eyes and a clear mind. Today is a new opportunity to start fresh, to launch bravely, and to share your gifts with the world.
Until next Sunday, keep thinking big,
Erica
