Starting Small is the New Starting Strong
Hey there, creative soul! đź‘‹ Erica here, dropping in with your Sunday night pep talk. This week's message is about how to make that 'too big' dream deliciously doable.
Finding Your Voice in the Digital Space
(And Making Peace with Tech Along the Way)
Tabernacle, week two happened on Friday.
A room full of spiritual solopreneurs steering the delicate balance between staying true and showing up in the digital world. From yoga teachers to Reiki practitioners, asking: How do I share my gifts authentically in this noisy online space?
Start Small, Grow Strong
One of our residents, a seasoned yoga teacher, arrived with a grand vision for a 200-hour teacher training program. During that call, I could sense through the screen that something felt heavy. She could teach those 200 hours in her sleep, but designing and marketing it? That felt overwhelming.
Instead of diving into the deep end, we explored breaking it down. Could it start as an eight-limb intensive and then build naturally into chakras and koshas? As we talked, the energy shifted. What felt impossible suddenly became... dare I say, exciting again?
You don't have to do it all at once. In fact, you probably shouldn't.
Let each small success build naturally into the next, like breath flowing into breath. This exact approach helped me build Tabernacle—starting with 3-class bundles, growing into 4-week courses, and eventually prospering into our current 12-week mentorship.
The Platform Puzzle
Finding Your Perfect Fit
One of the biggest revelations from Friday's session? The power of starting where you are. While some creators might be ready for full-featured platforms like Kajabi ($140/month), others are finding their groove on Substack (completely free!).
Your tool choice doesn't define your success - your consistency and authentic voice do.
What I'm noticing is that platforms like Substack aren't just newsletter tools anymore—they're communities. One of our Residents shared how she gets significant traffic directly from Substack readers, in addition to her email subscribers. It's like having a built-in audience!
Being Brave Enough to
To Put Yourself Out There
One conversation today really struck a chord. One of our Residents shared her struggle with posting on Instagram after a personal crisis. She was torn between wanting privacy and feeling called to share her message. The result? She no longer shared and created on the app - a shame because she was so engaging to watch and learn from.
I deeply relate to this. Working with my life coach, Lauren Zander, on my dating journey, I've faced the same inner conflict. When we say "I'm not ready," it's often not about hiding - it's our intuition asking us to set healthy boundaries. For me, it wasn't about feeling unworthy of love or thinking all men suck. It was about how I move through these cynical thoughts about men, overcome my past hurts, and present my authentic self to attract genuine love.
With TikTok's uncertain future, I've been reflecting on how certain creators made marketing feel more human and honest. Their authenticity inspired me to open up about my own quest for love.
Here's what I'm doing to help myself grow:
(Week One Homework for Tabernacle Residents)
Morning Ritual For the next 90 days, I will wake up three times a week at 6 am for marketing sprints with my team.
Work Routine For the next 90 days, I will host one Teacher Enhancement Workshop every month for my Chakra Studies Members.
Evening Habit For the next 90 days, I will listen to at least 20 minutes of subconscious processing on the topic of success and love on weeknights as I fall asleep in my bed.
You get extra credit in Tabernacle when you make anything visual ;)
What I'm Loving :
The incredible vulnerability and support in our Tabernacle community. Watching spiritual entrepreneurs navigate their fears, celebrate their wins, and lift each other up is the pure inspiration that keeps my business going.
What I'm Celebrating:
The power of breaking things down. Whether it's a 200-hour training becoming three separate modules or a complex business model becoming two clear offerings - simplicity creates clarity.

Until next Sunday, remember that your journey doesn't have to look like anyone else's. Take small, consistent steps. Trust your pace. Most importantly, keep showing up in ways that feel authentic to you.
Onward and upward,
Erica
