You Are Not Alone
And You're Right On Time
On Friday, I sat with our newest Tabernacle cohort; as always, energy was electric that first week.
We had nurses dreaming of blending hypnotherapy with holistic health, psychologists yearning to offer online EMDR sessions, and even a former orthodontist hoping to integrate her love for dogs into a mindfulness newsletter.
Usually, our cohorts are pretty diverse in terms of dreams, but one fear this round caught my ears:
"Am I moving too slowly?" "Should I be further along by now?"
If you're nodding your head, you're not alone. In fact, this concern is so common that I've filmed a welcome video specifically addressing it.
Let me share with you what I tell every new Tabernacle member:
There is no "right" pace for your spiritual business. How you build your business is as unique as your fingerprint.
Let that sink in for a moment. Your pace is your own. Your path will not look like mine or theirs.
Take Resident #1, for instance. She joined Tabernacle with a crystal-clear vision of her offering. But life had other plans - she found out she was pregnant.
Instead of panicking, she embraced this plot twist. Over the next three months, we will help her reimagine her offering, crafting something that allows her to be both a new mother and a healing practitioner.
Then there's Resident #2, a licensed psychologist seeking more time with her two young children. But the emotional intensity of her work was draining her soul.
Therefore, she's exploring online EMDR sessions, designing a schedule that aligns with both her family needs and her passion for helping others.
Resident #3, a former orthodontist who's been on a prolonged career transition. She's more than halfway through her mindfulness meditation teacher certification, AND she is passionate about dogs.
"I don't know if it's going to sound silly," she confided, "but it's very important to me." She shared how her dog used to come to her ortho practice and how every dog she's had has made her a better human.
These stories remind us that your path isn't meant to look like anyone else's.
Your Permission Slip to Move at YOUR Pace
So, here's your permission slip to move at your pace:
- Embrace the ebb and flow: Some days, you'll feel unstoppable, like our nurse ready to blend hypnotherapy with holistic health. Other days, you might need to rest, especially if you're juggling a pregnancy or young children. Both are valid and necessary parts of your journey.
- Celebrate small wins: Finished a blog post? Updated your website? Do a happy dance! Progress is progress, no matter how small.
- Trust your intuition: If something doesn't feel right, pause. Our former orthodontist didn't immediately jump into a new career - she's taking time to explore and align her passions. Your gut knows the path, even if your mind isn't sure yet.
- Find your people: Surround yourself with individuals who get it. Who support your vision AND your pace.
One thing I always remind myself (and you):
My business often feels inseparable from my life.
But that blurred line means I'm building a business that aligns with my calling.
That alignment doesn't happen overnight. It took years of trial, doubt, and yes, tears. But every step has been worth it.
Now, I wake up excited about the work I do, the people I serve, and the impact I make.
Your special blend of skills, experiences, and passions deserves to be shared - whether that takes 3 weeks or 3 years. What matters is that you're moving forward on a path true to you.
So breathe deep. Trust your journey. Keep taking those brave, soul-aligned steps forward. I'm right here, walking alongside you. We've got this.
Now, let me share what's happening behind the scenes:
What I'm excited about:
Working with private 1:1 clients again in this round of Tabernacle, and it feels so dang good to be elbow-deep in these beautiful businesses again. One common struggle emerging is getting their message out there in this wild, crowded digital world.
These days, our people are savvy. They're discerning. They're not just gonna trust us because we showed up once in their feed. We gotta work for it, show up consistently, and really prove our worth.
It's a challenge, for sure. But you know what? I'm here for it and ready to rise up and meet this challenge.
What's working for my private 1:1 clients right now:
More personal storytelling, less guru authority content. Share with your audience, not at them.
What I'm celebrating:
Remember last week when I shared about my bold move at that yoga festival? Well, guess what? I got a call back from the fitness place. I got hired! This just goes to show that sometimes, putting yourself out there in unexpected ways can lead to new revenue streams!
To close out, I want to leave you with a question when marketing your services this week or putting together your sacred offering: What's your equivalent of "mindfulness and dogs"? What unique combination of passions and skills makes your offering distinctly you?
In a world of copycats, your special mash-up is your superpower. Embrace it, refine it, and share it with the world in ways only you can.
Until next Sunday, keep moving at your own perfect pace.
With soulful support,
Erica
P.S. Next week, we're tackling our biggest roadblocks: fears. But what if these fears are actually signposts to our greatest faith? Get ready to flip the script from "fear to faith." Trust me, you won't want to miss this. See you next Sunday, brave one! ✨
